Ken Griffey Jr. Retires

One of the greatest to ever play baseball is hanging up his cleats and retiring from major league baseball. If this was any other player in professional sports I would say he was hanging up his steroid needles instead of cleats, but this was not the case in the Griffey family. Both Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr. played with a level of class and sportsmanship that raised the bar for every player in professional sports.

Griffey Jr. was drafted #1 overall in the 1987 draft and had the rare opportunity to not only play in the same era as his father; they also got to play on the same team together. In one very special game, father and son also hit back-to-back homeruns which I don’t see ever happening again in our lifetime.

MLB Online Betting

With the loss of Ken Griffey Jr. and plummeting ticket sales, the future does not look too bright for the Seattle Mariners. You can mark this season up as a rebuilding year for the Mariners and when you find yourself with a hankering for MLB online betting, I would bet on Mariners games where they are at home and less than a 3 point underdogs or the favorite by 2 runs at the most with pointspread online betting.
