NHL Offseason Moves

This NHL offseason we saw a lot of different trades and signings that are sure to give the NHL a completely new look come October. Below you will find our review of the best NHL moves this offseason.

Vancouver Canucks Sign Dan Hamhuis

Although a lot of teams were going after Hamhuis this offseason, who was an unsung hero in Nashville, Hamhuis opted to go with the Vancouver Canucks, which is also the same province he grew up in. Hamhuis didn’t take the biggest contract offered, he chose the team that he thinks he can make the biggest difference on which means a lot if you are a Vancouver Canucks fan.

Montreal Canadiens Sign Carey Price

For the last couple of season the Montreal Canadiens had no real #1 goalie. Two coaches and two general managers later, they have decided to put all their eggs in Price’s basket once again, letting Jaroslav Halak sign with the St. Louis Blues. Although Halak had better numbers last NHL season and was instrumental in the Canadiens Eastern Conference run, the Canadiens believe that Price is their future. If you are a Montreal Canadiens fan, you are most likely very nervous.
